Some of the sculptures in the list below are cast of bronze.
Heyoka carves the original piece out of wax, then a mold is created. Multiple wax
sculptures are then invested into a ceramic mixture and then fired in a furnace. The
ceramic shell gets hard and the wax vaporizes. Molten bronze is poured into the
hollow area left when the wax disappears. The number of sculptures cast from the
mold is limited. The small shrine sculptures are created by Heyoka using the
same fabrication technique as described in the jewelry section of this web site.
Due to the closing of Heyoka's foundry, he will not be casting any new bronze sculpture editions for quite a while. The few editions that are available at this time are listed and a notice will be posted if casting resumes.
